The evolution

Every level contains in itself a picture of the complete human being, although on a reduced scale. This means that the evolution is a spiral development, every turn contains in itself the whole development but on the current level. All qualities have to develop in balance and harmony with each other. If the development would go faster in one area, it has to be stopped until the others can catch up.

Everything that is not capable of surviving by its own force is being replaced by something that is better adapted. There is no mechanism that can better support the necessary evolutionary progress. But what is dominating on the lowest, most primitive levels also has to be supplemented with other mechanisms on a higher level. For example, compassion and love have to develop, so man can approach more and more what he was meant to be; the true image of the Deity. This is the whole driving-force behind the evolution, the fact that man increasingly will approach the Deity.

Love is the virtue that slowly develops during the evolution. First the love for the things that are closest, oneself and the nearest, and eventually a more all-embracing love. The power of love is the strongest thing in the Universe and it makes everything possible. Without love there would not have been life.

The aspect of time, that one has to see the development through many lives - and the spiritual aspect, the fact that it is a development that is being led and commanded through measures by entities that carry the responsibility for development from another level than that of the terrestrial, are the two most important aspects of the earthly evolution or development.

The fact that life is development and development is a divine gift is something that the humans should not doubt. The survival of a species has no intrinsic value in itself and a humanity that exists only for the purpose of carrying its genes forward to the next generation would be impossible. The life in the body is important but has no value in itself for mankind, it should be seen as a necessary condition for spiritual development.
